Music Therapy Services
Individual Music Therapy
Individual music therapy sessions offer a safe, supportive space for children, young people, and adults to explore communication, expression, and emotional wellbeing through music. Sessions are tailored to each person’s needs, interests, and goals, using creative musical experiences such as improvisation, singing, listening, and songwriting.
I specialise in supporting autistic children and those with special educational needs (SEN), helping to develop communication, emotional expression, regulation, and connection in a way that feels engaging, structured, and accessible. I also work with adults experiencing mental health challenges, supporting self expression, resilience, and wellbeing through a person centred, creative approach.
No musical experience is needed. Sessions are shaped around the individual and what feels meaningful, comfortable, and achievable for them.
Group Music Therapy
Group music therapy sessions provide a supportive and collaborative space for children, young people, and adults to connect with others through shared musical experiences. Using instruments, voice, and creative music making, sessions encourage communication, social interaction, emotional expression, and a sense of belonging.
Groups are carefully facilitated to ensure they are inclusive, accessible, and responsive to each participant’s needs and abilities. I particularly support autistic children and those with special educational needs (SEN), as well as adults experiencing mental health challenges, helping each person engage at their own pace within a safe and structured environment.
No musical experience is required. The focus is on connection, creativity, and shared expression through music.
Music Therapy And SEN
Music therapy offers a creative and supportive approach for children, young people, and adults with special educational needs (SEN) and intellectual disabilities to explore communication, emotional expression, and social connection. Through structured and flexible musical experiences, sessions are adapted to meet individual sensory, cognitive, and emotional needs.
For autistic children and others with additional needs, music can provide a consistent and engaging way to build trust, develop interaction skills, support regulation, and encourage self expression in a non verbal and accessible format. For adults with intellectual disabilities, music therapy can support communication, choice making, emotional wellbeing, and participation, while also encouraging social connection and engagement.
Each session is person centred and paced according to the individual, creating a safe and predictable environment where strengths are recognised and communication can develop through music.
Music Therapy And Mental Health
Music therapy provides a supportive and creative space for children, young people, and adults experiencing mental health challenges to explore emotions, build resilience, and develop healthier ways of coping. Through musical interaction, individuals are able to express thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to put into words.
Sessions are tailored to each person and may include listening, improvisation, songwriting, or reflective music making, depending on individual needs and preferences. The focus is on supporting emotional expression, regulation, self awareness, and connection in a safe, non judgemental environment.
No musical experience is required. The emphasis is on using music as a tool for wellbeing, growth, and personal expression.
